My name is Katrina Kokolari, and Masło is my food project. I would call myself a 3rd culture kid - I grew up in a mix of Polish, Slovak, Croatian, and American cultures. Later on, I went to grad school for national and transnational studies, where I wrote my thesis on the relationship between food, religion, and nationalism in Polish-American communities. Food, and the role is plays in culture, is what drives me. I hope to show you some lesser known and delicious Slavic foods.
